What is a customer in ComplyAdvantage Mesh?
A customer is a person or company that has a direct relationship with your company.
Our customer record solution is like a file that holds all the information that you have about a person or company. It includes personal details that you have provided us with, such as their name, location, date of birth and the products that they have taken out with your company.
If you screen that customer, any cases created as a result of onboarding or monitoring them, will be linked to their customer record.
Information such as their risk level, their transactional behavior and any people or companies associated with them in some way (for example, directors of the same business or a counterparty of a transaction will also be linked to their customer record.
Additionally, information about the products your customer has can be captured and stored in the customer record. For example, whether they have a bank account or a crypto wallet. You can optionally store details such as the currency they use, the expected number of transactions and value of payments they send or receive, the intended purpose of the account, as well as data points like IP address and device ID captured during onboarding.
The purpose of a customer record is to centralize information about a person or company to allow you to easily manage and achieve a comprehensive understanding of a customer.
